Dr. Joel L. Rosenlicht, DMD
Advisory Board Chairman
Dr. Rosenlicht is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon that has been involved in both private practice and academics for over 30 years. He is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University Dental School and completed his Oral and Maxillofacial surgical training at the combined programs of Tufts University and Boston University School of Graduate Dental Medicine.
Dr. Rosenlicht is a nationally recognized author and lecturer. He has written numerous articles, contributed to seven textbooks and is a highly sought-after speaker. His presentations are always enlightening, well received and often bring new clarity to procedures and techniques for implant dentistry and oral surgery. Over the past 20 years over 1,000 dentists have participated in his courses, both live surgical and didactic programs at his office and teaching center, the Connecticut Dental Implant Institute (CDII) in Manchester, Connecticut.
In addition, he has developed techniques for bone grafting, immediate impressions for implants, prosthetic applications for implants and delayed restorations.
Dr. Rosenlicht is past president of both the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is also a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and of the American Board of Implant Dentistry.
He is the Director of the Connecticut Study Club for Excellence In Dentistry, a recognized Seattle Study Club organization. Dr. Rosenlicht was the recipient of the Charles English Educational Award, being recognized for his innovations, ingenuity, contributions and making a difference in dentistry.
When not at his practice, Dr. Rosenlicht can be found traveling worldwide on the lecture circuit, reviewing a case, teaching implant courses or directing an event for the Study Club. Dr. Rosenlicht and his wife, Doreen, reside in Northeastern Connecticut. They have 3 children: Jordan, Tyler and Sarah. In addition, Dr. Rosenlicht’s grandson is his pride and joy. Hobbies include skiing, golfing, tennis and is an avid pilot.
Dr. Michael S. Block
DMD
Dr. Block graduated from the University of Rochester in 1975, attaining both a BA in Biology and a BS in Biomedical Engineering. He completed his dental training at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1979, receiving his D.M.D. cum laude in a special field. He completed his residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the LSU School of Dentistry in 1983. He remained at the LSU School of Dentistry and achieved the academic rank of Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Currently he is in private practice.
Dr. Block is the editor-in-chief of five textbooks on dental implants, Endosseous Implants for Maxillofacial Reconstruction, Implants in Dentistry, Color Atlas of Dental Implant Surgery: the 4th edition was published in 2015. He is Past President of the Academy of Osseointegration, and has been program chairman for three of their annual programs. Dr. Block serves on the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) Committee on Continuing Education as Chairman of the subcommittee on dental implants. Dr. Block has been an examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Section Editor on Dental Implants for the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Block is particularly interested in the translation of technology for efficient and predictable reconstruction of the jaw to provide ideal bone for implant placement and esthetic replacement of missing teeth, the use of multiple techniques and implants to reconstruct significant atrophic conditions, and interceptive strategies for rehabilitating extraction sites with implant restorations.

Dr. Eric Block
DMD, CAGS, FICOI, FICD
Dr. Eric Block graduated from the Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine in 2002 and then completed a 2-year implantology residency at Boston University graduating in 2004. He currently maintains a full-time practice in Acton, Massachusetts.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Block is the founder of the Digital Market Place www.dealsfordentists.com host of the Deals for Dentists Podcast and host of Live with Blocky on the I Love Dentistry Facebook group.
He has written two books “The Stress-Free Dentist: Overcome Burnout and Start Loving Dentistry Again” and his new book “Stress-Free Dental Implants, Re-energize your Career with Dental Implants” is now available on Amazon.
Dr. Block maintains membership in the ADA and AACD is a Fellow in the ICOI and most recently was granted fellowship in the FICD. He lectures nationally helping dentists become more efficient, productive and less stressed.
He is married and the father of two kids.
Dr. Bernee Dunson
DDS, FFAID, DABOI/ID
Dr. Dunson received a degree in biology from Morehouse College in 1987. He received his DDS degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1991. Following completion of the General Dentistry Residency Program at Columbia University’s Harlem Hospital in New York, he went on to receive his Oral Implantology Graduate Certificate from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1997.
Dr. Dunson served as President of the AAID in 2020-21 and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology. He received his IV and Oral Conscious Sedation Certificate from Miami Valley Medical College in Dayton, Ohio.
He founded the Global Dental Implant Institute through which he administers the local Atlanta Academy for Restorative Dentistry. Additionally, Dr. Dunson was the Director of the AAID Washington D.C. Maxi Course® program, where he taught a hands-on dental implant surgical series.
Dr. Dunson maintains a private dental practice with emphasis on general, restorative and cosmetic dentist in Atlanta and Stone Mountain, Georgia. He lectures nationally and internationally on restorative implant dentistry and frequently publishes articles in the dental journals.
Dr. Brett L. Ferguson
DDS, FACS, FACD FICD
Dr. Ferguson received a degree in Biology from Lane College in 1975. He received his DDS degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City in 1981 where is was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Rho Chapter, Honor Society. Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Ferguson completed the Oral & Maxillofacial Residency Program at the UMKC School of Dentistry, Truman Medical Center in 1990.
Dr. Ferguson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American College of Dentistry, the International College of Dentistry and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
He currently serves as the Chairman of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the UMKC School of Dentistry as well as Chairman of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Truman Medical Center.
Dr. Ferguson is a past president of AAOMS 2017-18 and has authored numerous publications and has lectured globally on a variety of dental topics.
He serves the greater UMKC community in a variety of capacities. Dr. Ferguson is married to Rita M. Burnett, DDS and they enjoy their two children Brittny and Brett, Jr.
Dr. Iham Gammas
DMD
Dr. Gammas was born and raised in Illinois and earned his dental degree from the Boston University School of Dental Medicine.
He currently limits his private dental practice in Lowell, Massachusetts to implant dentistry. In addition, he is an itinerate implant dentist for several other clinics in the area performing revision surgery and advanced dental implant treatments.
Dr. Gammas is board certified by the American Board of Oral Implantology and a Fellow of the AAID and a Fellow and Master in the ICOI and IADI. He is also an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration.
Dr. Curtis E. Jansen
DDS
Dr. Jansen graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1986. He received his certificate in Advanced Education in Prosthodontics from the same school in 1988. In 1989 he accepted a full-time teaching position at USC in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and was named the Director of Implant Dentistry. In 1992, Dr. Jansen moved to Florida to practice and work with a dental implant manufacturer.
Dr. Jansen has an extensive past involving research and design in implant dentistry with a number of patents for implant restorative components being used by major manufactures.
In 1996, Dr. Jansen moved to Monterey California and began his Prosthodontic dental practice. After 31 years of practicing dentistry, Dr. Jansen continues to lecture on subjects emphasizing Restorative/Surgical Relationships, Esthetic, CAD/CAM, and Implant Dentistry to groups of dental specialists, dental associations and study clubs throughout the US as well as Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa and South America.
Dr. Ole T. Jensen
DDS, MS
Dr. Jensen received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in 1972 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the Northwestern University School of Dentistry in 1976. In 1977, he completed an Anesthesiology Residency at the Medical School at Northwestern University. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency in 1980 at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Jensen is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon known worldwide in the field of dental implants and reconstructive surgery. He has over 100 peer reviewed publications and has written more than 50 book chapters. He is editor of 7 books, the latest published in 2019, the 3rd Edition of The Sinus Bone Graft. One of Dr. Jensen’s articles is among the 25 most cited articles of all time in the dental implant literature.
Dr. Jensen is the 2016 recipient of the Branemark Award for lifetime achievement in the field of Implant dentistry, the highest honor bestowed by the Academy of Osseointegration’s Foundation and The Titanium Society. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Jensen is a frequent guest lecturer at U.S. and international seminars and symposiums.
In 2020, Dr. Jensen and his wife Marty endowed a Chair for Craniofacial Tissue Engineering at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. The mission of the Craniofacial Tissue Engineering Institute will be to research and bioengineer a human autologous tooth for transplantation. The institute will award the inaugural Jensen Tissue Engineering Award in the Fall of 202O.
Dr Jensen’s interest in new and innovative biotechnology has led to commercial interests in several companies. He is Vice Chairman of Nobio, Ltd. of Kadima, Israel and is Chairman of Ditron Dental USA, LLC in Ladera Ranch, California.
He enjoys golf, tennis and hiking. He is married to Marty Jensen and they have 3 children and 14 grandchildren.
Dr. John C. Kois
DMD, MSD
Dr. Kois received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine and Certificate in Periodontal Prosthodontics with an MSD degree from the University of Washington, School of Dentistry. He maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics in Tacoma and Seattle and is an Affiliate Professor in the Graduate Restorative Program at the University of Washington.
Dr. Kois continues to lecture nationally and internationally, is a reviewer for many journals and is the Co-Editor in Chief for The Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry. Dr. Kois is the recipient of the 2002 Saul Schluger Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence in Diagnosis and Treatment Planning and received a Lifetime Achievement Award from both the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Additionally, he is the recipient of the 2014 Dr. Thaddeus V. Weclew Award, which is presented annually to a dedicated educator who embodies the spirit of comprehensive dental care.
He is the past President of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry in addition to membership in numerous other professional organizations. He continues to work with restorative dentists at the Kois Center, a didactic and clinical teaching program.
Dr. Jack T Krauser, DMD
Dr. Krauser received his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut where he played varsity lacrosse and was named to the school's all decade team for the 1970’s.
He received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and then attended Boston University for his specialty training in the Department of Periodontology.
Dr. Krauser has lectured globally and has authored over 25 peer reviewed articles and co-authored a textbook on dental implant implants entitled "Dental Implants: The Art and Science" by Elsevier Publishing.
He is a diplomate and fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration and a diplomate of the ICOI.
Dr. Nicole L. Mackie, DDS
Dr. Mackie received her dental degree from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2007. She completed her residency and master’s degree in Prosthodontics from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2010. She earned a Fellowship Certificate in Implantology from Columbia University in 2013.
She is very much a people person and believes strongly in a relationship-based practice often forgotten in modern times. That is why each patient is considered family as she strives to know her patients on a familiar level.
Her number one priority is putting smiles on her patient’s faces and giving them the permanent life-changing results, they want.
Dr. Pamela M. Maragliano-
Muniz DMD
Dr. Maragliano-Muniz is a board-certified prosthodontist and earned her certificate from the UCLA School of Dentistry after obtaining her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. She is a former dental hygienist having earned her BSDH degree from Northeastern University and the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists. She earned an AAS degree in Dental Hygiene and an AS degree in Math and Science from SUNY Orange in New York.
Dr. Maragliano-Muniz is well known in the dental industry and spends the majority of her time treating patients at her Salem Dental Arts dental practice. She is the Editor in Chief for Dentistry IQ.com and the Editorial Director for the Endeavor Business Media Group’s Dental Academy of Continuing Education. She maintains a teaching position at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and is the Chief Development Officer for Cellerant Consulting Group, a premiere consulting company that accelerates the growth and impact of new and established dental companies and technologies.
Some of Dr. Maragliano-Muniz awards and recognitions include Boston Magazine’s Top Dentists: 2017, 2018, 2019, Dental Product Report’s Top 25 Women in Dentistry: 2017 and American Dental Association: Adult Preventive Care Practice of the Year.
Dr. Maragliano-Muniz is a member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, the American Academy of Dental Sciences, and the Spear Study Club.
Dr. Robert Margeas
DDS
Dr. Margeas graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1986 and completed his AEGD residency the following year. He is currently an adjunct professor in the department of Operative Dentistry at the University of Iowa. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Operative Dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Aesthetic Dentistry, a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Society for Dental Aesthetics and International Team of Oral implantologists (ITI). He has written numerous articles on esthetic and implant dentistry, and lectures and presents hands-on courses nationally and internationally on those subjects. He is currently the Editor in Chief of Inside Dentistry, on the Editorial Board of Compendium, and is a contributing editor to Oral Health in Canada. His memberships include OKU Honor Dental Society, American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Margeas maintains a full-time private practice focusing on comprehensive restorative and implant dentistry in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dr. Robert J. Miller
DDS
Dr. Miller received his B.A. from New York University and M.A. from Hofstra University, both in biology. He graduated with honors from New York University College of Dentistry in 1981 where he received the International College of Dentists Award for clinical excellence and then completed his residency at Flushing Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Miller is a Fellow American College of Dentists, Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology, Honored Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Diplomate International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Fellow Academy of Osseointegration, and is the acting Chairman of the Department of Oral Implantology at the Atlantic Coast Dental Research Clinic in Palm Beach, Florida. He is Director of The Center for Advanced Aesthetic and Implant Dentistry in Delray Beach, Florida, and Co-Director of the Pacific Institute for Advanced Dental Education.
Dr, Miller has a full-time practice dedicated to Implant Dentistry and revision surgery and has an active international lecture schedule as well as being engaged in biomaterial, laser, and dental implant research.
Dr. Robert Mogyoros
DMD
A native of Colorado, Dr. Mogyoros received his BA degree from the University of Pennsylvania and received his undergraduate dental degree from the same university.
He completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where he was elected chief resident during his final year of residency.
Subsequently, Dr. Mogyoros was accepted to the prestigious Implant Surgery Fellowship in Colorado at the Colorado Institute for Tissue Engineering. It was during this fellowship that Dr. Mogyoros met Dr. Ole Jensen the founder of Ditron Dental USA.
Dr. Mogyoros continues to lecture globally on a variety of dental implant related topics. He maintains a private practice in King of Prussia, PA where he is dedicated to his patient care.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Board of Dental Anesthesiology, and the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry.
Dr. Simon Oh
DDS FICOI
Dr. Simon Oh grew up in Maryland where he received a BS in Physiology and Neurobiology at the University of Maryland College Park. He graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School, with highest honors including membership in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society.
Dr. Oh furthered his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Today, Dr. Oh serves as Chief Clinical Officer and Chief of Implantology for ProSmile, the region’s largest DSO, where he oversees the clinical operations of over 200 dentists and dental specialists.
He is a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists lectures, mentors, and trains doctors, nationally and internationally, on implant surgery including All-on-X, Zygomatic Implants, Teeth in One Day, and Bone Regeneration. In addition to being voted by his fellow dentists as Top Dentist in Philadelphia Magazine for 2019, 2020, and 2021, Dr Oh was also selected in 2020 as one of the top 40 dentists under 40 in the United States by Incisal Edge Magazine for his clinical skills, involvement in education, and leadership in the dental field.
When not treating patients, he enjoys traveling, golf, and spending time with his wife, two children and their dogs Max and Mandi.
Dr. Grant Olson
DDS
Dr. Olson received his dental education at the UMKC School of Dentistry in 2011.
He has been passionate about the cutting-edge of dentistry since he began practicing in 2011 and has taken his passion to new heights since opening his own private practice, Innovative Dental, in Springfield, Missouri in 2013.
Innovative Dental is a fully integrated CEREC practice, and offers comprehensive solutions from restorations to alignment, and even missing teeth with surgically guided dental implants.
Dr. Olson attributes much of his success to focusing on the patient experience, including integrating technology and procedures for more predictable, efficient, and quality treatments.
Dr. Stephen M. Parel
DDS
Dr. Parel received his dental degree from The Medical College of Virginia in 1969 and spent a year as a general practice resident with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Richmond, followed by a two-year residency in Prosthodontics at the Wadsworth Veterans Administration Hospital in Los Angeles. He completed his Maxillofacial Prosthetics training in Houston at the MD Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in 1973.
Dr. Parel is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and the American and International College of Dentists. He maintains membership in the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the Academy of Prosthodontics and the American College of Prosthodontists.
His literature contributions include over 45 scientific articles as the principal author, and multiple textbook contributions. He was editor and co-author of Esthetics and Osseointegration, a landmark reference source for implant dentistry. He authored his second book, The SmiLine System in 1991 and Esthetic Implant Restorations in 1996. He was co-founder of Osseointegration Seminars, Inc. and is past president of The American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, The Academy of Osseointegration and The Osseointegration Foundation.
He has received the Andrew J. Ackerman Award for meritorious lifetime service in the field of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, the Distinguished Lecturer and Dan Gordon Awards from the American College of Prosthodontics and has served as an examiner and President of The American Board of Prosthodontists. He is the 2015 recipient of the Branemark Award for lifetime achievement in the field of Implant dentistry, the highest honor bestowed by the Academy of Osseointegration’s Foundation and The Titanium Society.
Dr. Parel served as a professor at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry and until 2013, he served as the founder and director of Prosthodontics at a private Implant Specialty Clinic in Dallas, Texas. He is presently in private practice and serves as a consultant to several companies in the dental implant industry.
Dr. Lou Shuman
DMD, CAGS
Dr. Shuman is the founder and CEO of Cellerant Consulting Group, dentistry’s leading corporate incubator and accelerator currently serving 34 companies.
He is a venture-in-residence at the Harvard i-lab where this relationship resulted in launching, as co-founder, LightForce Orthodontics in May 2019. LightForce created the world’s first fully customized ceramic 3-D printed orthodontic bracket. This led to winning the Mass Challenge Incubator Award, one of thirteen winners from four thousand company entries.
He has monthly national columns that appear in Dental Economics: “Technology in Two Minutes”, in Dental Products Report: “Dentistry Tomorrow” and in Oral Health Canada: “The Future of Dentistry”.
He currently serves as an advisory board member for Dental Economics, Dentistry Today, Dental Products Report and Inside Dentistry and is the founder and managing editor of the Dental Sleep Practice Journal.
He serves on the Board of Directors for Apteryx, Inc., Sleep ArchiTx, MMG Fusion, LightForce Orthodontics and is the only dentist to be chosen as a Top 100 CE Leader and Leader in Dental Consulting by Dentistry Today.
He created the Cellerant Best of Class Technology Awards in 2009 for innovative products that set a standard of quality in their respective categories. It is the only award of its kind and has been acknowledged as the most prestigious and coveted award that a dental manufacturer can receive, by every major dental journal in North America before being presented at the American Dental Association’s Meeting.
Prior to founding Cellerant in February 2016, Dr. Shuman served as president of Pride Institute and as Vice President of clinical education and strategic relations at Align Technology. He created Align’s orthodontic and GP clinical programs and was the professional and clinical lead on highly successful commercial projects, including the creation of Align’s Vivera retainers. His contributions at Align Technology assisted in the company’s growth to over $500 million in annual revenue.
Dr. Dennis P. Tarnow
DDS
Dr. Tarnow is a native of Brooklyn, New York. He received a BA from Brooklyn College in 1968 and then attended New York University College of Dentistry where is was awarded his DDS degree in 1972. He completed an internship at Brookdale Hospital and subsequently began simultaneous training in both the Postdoctoral Program in Periodontics and the Postdoctoral Program in Prosthodontics at New York University where he was awarded dual certificates in 1976.
He is currently Clinical Professor of Periodontology and Director of Dental Implant Education at the Columbia University School of Dental Medicine. Prior to that, he was Professor and Chairman of the Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry where he was honored with a wing named after him.
Dr. Tarnow is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology and received the Master Clinician Award from the American Academy of Periodontology, the Teacher of the Year Award from New York University College of Dentistry and in 2015 he received the Distinguished Lecturer Award from the American College of Prosthodontists.
Dr. Tarnow has published over 200 articles on perio-prosthodontics and dental implant dentistry and has co-authored four textbooks including The Single Tooth Implant with Dr. Stephen J. Chu. Dr. Tarnow has lectured extensively in the United States and internationally in over forty-five countries and maintains a private dental practice in New York City.
Dr. Ervin Weiss
DMD
Dr. Ervin Weiss graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Hebrew University, in Jerusalem with a DMD cum laude. After serving in the Israeli army for 5 years, he received his certificate of Specialist in Prosthodontics in 1992 and was appointed an Associate Professor in Restorative Dentistry at the Tel Aviv University School of Dental Medicine.
For three years, he was a visiting fellow at NIDCR, NIH, Bethesda, USA and also served as Chairman of the Israeli Society of Oral Rehabilitation and the Chairman of the Israeli division of the IADR.
In 2000, he moved to the Hebrew University-Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine as Head of the Department of Prosthodontics and was nominated Professor in Oral Rehabilitation. In 2014, and for 5 years, he served as the Head of School at the Tel Aviv University School of Dental Medicine.
Prof. Weiss has published over 180 articles and patents in the fields of microbiology, material sciences and dentistry. He is the founder, CTO and Chairman of Nobio, Ltd. in Kadima, Israel and maintains a private dental practice in Tel Aviv.
